- Research Grant: This opportunity encourages the development of new information that contributes to the understanding of alopecia areata. $100,000 per yr/2 yrs.

- Mentored Young Investigator Award: This opportunity supports young scientists and clinicians to build careers in alopecia areata research with objective of future NIH applications. $50,000 per yr/3 yrs.

Career Development Bridge grant: The objective of this grant is to provide funding to highly meritorious alopecia areata-related National Institutes of Health (NIH) R01, R21 or U01 award applicants whose projects were well-scored by the NIH, but not funded. $75,000 for one year.

- Pilot and Feasibility Grant; This opportunity encourages the development and testing of new hypotheses and/or new methods in research areas relevant to alopecia areata. $40,000 for one yr.
