*Focused Idea Award – Supports innovative research that addresses at least one of the following: Studies of the neurovascular unit in Parkinson’s disease; Identification and evaluation of mechanisms in early Parkinson’s disease involving olfactory, microbiome, gastrointestinal, and/or autonomic nervous systems; neuroplasticity and compensation in Parkinson’s disease, factors influencing Parkinson’s disease progression in specific populations.
