DFG Trilateral Projects: German-Israeli-Palestinian

Purpose:
The funding of trilateral projects involving German, Israeli and Palestinian scientists and researchers aims to support peaceful development in the Middle East. In appropriate cases it is possible for a partner from another of Israel’s neighbouring countries to participate in a trilateral project, either instead of, or in addition to, the Palestinian partner.
Type and Extent of Funding
Type: research grant
Extent: Staff and travel expenses, funds for scientific equipment and consumables. The DFG funds the project expenses for all three partners. The German funding recipient is responsible for forwarding the funds to the Israeli and Palestinian partners in accordance with the funding award.
There is a two-stage proposal process. New initiatives may be submitted in the form of preliminary proposals by either 1 April or 1 October in any given year.
Informal preliminary proposals should be submitted in German or in English and should not exceed 5 pages (plus information on the cooperation partners and subject-related publication lists).
