U.S. DOD/CDMRP: Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program (PRMRP) – COVID-19 (for Emerging Viral Diseases and Respiratory Health– Pre-proposals

*Investigator-Initiated Research Award: Supports research that will make a significant contribution to the field of Emerging Viral Diseases (EVD) and/or Respiratory Health (RH). Applications must address at least one of the Focus Areas from the Program Announcement. Clinical trials will not be funded.  Funding: up to $1.6M over 4 years.

*Technology/Therapeutic Development Award: Supports the translation of promising preclinical findings into clinical applications for prevention, detection, diagnosis, treatment, or quality of life in EVD/RH. Must address at least one of the Focus Areas. Product-oriented (e.g., device, drug, clinical guidelines). The product(s) to be developed may be a tangible item, such as a pharmacologic agent (drugs or biologics) or device, or a knowledge-based product.  Clinical trials will not be funded.  Funding: up to $4M/4 years.
