Submissions of proposals related to sustainable solid waste management practices are invited in the following areas: Waste minimization, Recycling, Waste conversion to energy, biofuels, chemicals, Strategies to promote diversion to higher and better uses, Landfilling. Desirable aspects of the above topics, in addition to or as part of hypothesis driven applied research, also include: economic or cost/benefit analyses, feasibility studies, life cycle analysis or inventory, and analyses of policies that relate to the above. Funding: From $15,000 to over $500,000, with average grant amount $160,000. Typical project duration is 2 years. |
