March of Dimes Foundation: Grant opportunities - premature birth and maternal/infant health – LOI

Funds research that has direct impact on the prevention and treatment of premature birth and the maternal/infant health conditions that lead to prematurity. Research areas of interest: Pregnancy-related disorders, Genetic and environmentally-induced birth defects, Opioid exposure and dependency and Health disparities surrounding all of the areas mentioned.

Innovative Challenge Grants: Translational proposals in which a treatment/product/ intervention is the endpoint.
Funding: $50,000 for 6 months with clear cut deliverables defined. Upon achievement the possibility of an additional two consecutive funding cycles of $100,000-$500,000 each for 12 months is possible.

Novel Discovery Grants: Traditional research grants in translational or clinical science. These proposals should cover the translational spectrum from translation to humans, translation to patients, translation to practice and translation to population health.
Funding: $50,000-100,000. Upon achievement the possibility of additional funding cycle for 12 months is possible.

Clinical and Social Science Challenge Grants: proposals in the areas of maternal and child health.
Funding: $50,000-100,000 for 6 months with clear cut deliverables defined.  Upon achievement the possibility of an additional two consecutive funding cycles of $100,000-$500,000 each for 12 months is possible.

** Each 12 month extension grant will have to be submitted as a new grant.
