General description:

The goal of this project is to determine whether and when potable water is better achieved through active management and control in a direct potable reuse system rather than through the less active controls of an unplanned indirect potable reuse system. This project is also intended to facilitate robust analysis of the treatment steps sufficient for safe direct potable reuse. Funding: max $375K over 32 to 40 months. This project will require matching funds of at least 25% ($125K) of the total project costs. Proposals that request less than the $375K from the Foundation need only contribute 25% of the total project cost.
