Open to MIT faculty from all disciplines to collaborate with Israeli faculty at all universities and public research institutions in Israel.

MIT-Middle East Global Seed Fund

Supports collaborations between MIT and the Middle East (faculty from a research lab in Israel and from one additional country in the Middle East). Priority to locations in which MISTI has or is planning student activities: Bahrain; Jordan; Egypt; Israel; Palestine; and the UAE) Funding: $50,000

MIT- Israel Zuckerman STEM Fund: travel costs for exchange between a team at MIT and colleagues in universities in Israel. Funding: $30,000

The MIT-Israel Broshy Brain and Cognitive Sciences Fund open to MIT faculty from all disciplines to collaborate with researchers at all Israeli universities on medical and health related research.  Priority will be given for research collaborations (1) related to Brain and Cognitive Science research, or (2) with faculty at The Open University of Israel. Funding: $30,000

The MIT-Israel Lockheed Martin Seed Fund: This year, special priority will be given to proposals in the following areas:

  • Advanced manufacturing and materials
  • Quantum information science (QIS)
  • Sensor technologies (optical, acoustic, radar)
  • Information and communication technologies (ICT)
  • Autonomous systems and robotics
  • Command and Control (C2), simulation and data science
  • Nanotechnology
  • Microelectronics
