MOST-JST: Japan-Israel - ICT for a Resilient Society

Research projects focused on technologies, computer or mathematical solution, based on ICT that will help society become more resilient to social or natural changes or disasters.

Challenges include:

* Economic/social fluctuations, mobility including traffic flows, ICT networks and grids, population behaviors, urban infrastructure, and mass disasters involving a large number of people.

* Relations between ICT and aging society, health care, mobility assessment, energy management, response and recovery during and after mass disasters

* Resilient technologies for social ICT architecture and infrastructures, social services, understanding and management of human behavior

* Mathematical or economical models of impact analysis. 

* Integrating into ICT various disciplines such urban engineering, sociology and economics, disaster prevention science

* Ethical, Legal and Social Issues of innovations in ICT.

Funding: NIS 800,000 over 3 years for the Israeli side. (3 projects are expected to be supported).
