- Occurrence Survey of Bromide and Iodide in Water Supplies

Aim: to complete a comprehensive survey of bromide and iodide, and to determine their role in the formation of regulated and non-regulated disinfection byproducts (DBPs), in drinking water supplies and develop a better understanding of how changes in watersheds, industrial discharges, and other factors impact these key precursors. Funding: $275,000 - $300,000

- Refinement and Standardization of Cyanotoxin Analytical Techniques for Drinking Water

Aim: to evaluate existing chemical and biological methods for the analysis of cyanotoxins at low part-per-trillion (ppt) detection levels in raw and finished drinking water and provide unified methods and practical analytical guidelines for utilities to improve the quality of monitoring efforts. Funding:  $375,000 - $416,000

-Innovative Technologies to Effectively Manage Deteriorating Infrastructure

Aim: to investigate and discuss a wide range of innovative technologies that could be used to effectively manage deteriorating water infrastructure. The investigation should identify technologies at various stages of research, development and application that could benefit the water industry. The project will provide a detailed technical assessment of the suitability of these technologies for application in North America. Funding: $125,000 - $150,000.
