*Social Sciences: Anthropology, archaeology, paleoanthropology, psychology, human health, and human geography. Particularly migration, adaptation to environmental change, human diversity (cultural, linguistic, genetic).

*Life Sciences: Biodiversity, ecology, conservation (habitats, processes, and ecosystems-marine and terrestrial). Particularly biodiversity in human-altered environments (including human-wildlife conflict and mitigation, urban ecology, zoonotic diseases), the effects of climate change on biodiversity, the exploitation of natural resources, landscape connectivity and habitat corridors (including animal migrations), and ecosystem restoration.

*Earth Sciences: Projects that explore and document Earth and ocean systems in the present, past, and future within the fields of geology, geochemistry, physical geography, marine ecology, oceanography, paleontology, and observational astronomy. Particularly ocean research and conservation, natural disasters, environmental change, and the history of our planet (including plate tectonics, paleobotany, mass-extinction events, and planetary analog science). Also interested in innovations in technology, education, mapping, particularly data visualization, cultural heritage preservation, educational outreach, and curricula development, in all above fields.

Funding: up to $30K. Please contact research authority if planning to submit (overhead).
