ISF and the Indian University Grant Council (UGC): Joint Scientific Research Program in life sciences and medicine

Encouraging joint research proposals from Israeli and Indian researchers in Life Sciences (Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Cell and Developmental biology, Neurobiology, Immunology, Biochemistry and Molecular biology) and Medicine (Neurodegenerative diseases; Cancer; Cardiovascular diseases; Infection and Immunity and Pharmacology). Funding for the Indian partner for the 3-year period will be up to 18,000,000 Rs (₹) in experimental projects and 10,800,000 Rs in theoretical projects. Equipment can be requested in amount of 3,000,000 Rs. For the Israeli partner, the amounts are 370,000 / 220,000 / 180,000 NIS respectively.
