Institut Mérieux: Research Grants Programme

Institut Merieux’ strategic fields of interest are: infectious diseases, cancer, cardiovascular diseases and food and water safety/nutrition/health. Supports innovation in its fields of interest at very early stages from scientists and medical doctors from academic and private research institutions worldwide.
They are open in priority to basic, clinical-and/or technology-driven research projects. These grants are very flexible and awarded upon examination of a short (three pages plus CV) proposal and a careful scientific evaluation carried out three times a year (January, May, October). Two types of Mérieux Research Grants are available:
- The “Advanced” Mérieux Research Grants €100.000 to €200.000 for 2 years and are dedicated to very innovative projects.
- The "Starting” Mérieux Research Grants provide €40.000 for 2 years and are dedicated to very promising projects that will need further nurturing.
