The Foundation will accept novel projects which directly accelerate a cure for type 1 diabetes or inform the understanding of the disease by a related or complementary mechanism of action. Investigators focusing directly on type 1 diabetes research or autoimmune diseases are encouraged to apply with projects that focus on type 1 diabetes.
