קול קורא זה מיועד לממן ארבעה מוקדי ידע, שמטרת כל אחד להציע ולהפעיל מספר פרויקטי מחקר בין-תחומיים. פרויקטי המחקר מיועדים לפתח ידע, טכנולוגיות, זנים וכלים לחיזוק התעשייה החקלאית הישראלית. מטרת הידע שיפותח במוקדי המחקר הינה להביא את תעשיית המו״פ הישראלית למובילות עולמית בתחומים נבחרים בתחומי הידע והטכנולוגיה החקלאיים.
