General description:

Research projects focused on developing ICT technologies, computer systems or mathematical models that would make it possible to respond promptly to the damage or drastic changes caused by natural disasters, economic downturn or societal challenges, and that could restore stability to urban infrastructure and public services following such disasters, including:
*Development of Innovative ICT technologies, or systems, which make possible disaster prevention/mitigation in the case of natural disasters and other emergencies
*Development of mathematical theories or algorithms towards realization of smart resilient cities
*Recovery or reconstruction of social infrastructure, and facility obsolescence (maintenance management/preventive maintenance) taking advantage of ICT
Research proposals integrating into ICT various disciplines such as computational science, urban engineering or disaster prevention science and technologies are encouraged. Proposals targeting medicine or drug development are not eligible.
Funding: NIS 800,000 over 3 years for the Israeli side. (3 projects are expected to be supported).
