General description:

The Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority solicits the advanced research and development of medical countermeasures for chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear agents that threaten the U.S. civilian population. This research is anticipated to advance candidate medical countermeasures towards FDA licensure/approval and consideration for acquisition. Research Areas of Interest (further described in Part I of the announcement):
1. Vaccines (Anthrax)
2. Antitoxins and Therapeutics (Viral hemorrhagic fevers viruses and Anthrax)
3. Antimicrobial Drugs
4. Radiological and Nuclear Threat Countermeasures
5. Chemical Threat Countermeasures
6. Diagnostics
Multiple awards of various values will be granted, total funds allocated for the program are up to $415M. Deadlines for submission of White Papers for areas 1, 2, 3, 6 are: 30/4/15, 30/7/15. Areas 4 and 5 are open for continuous submission until expiration date, 30/7/15.
