About Us

Gandyr Foundation was founded as a family foundation by Yehudit Yovel Recanati in 2004. Gandyr Foundation's purpose is to strengthen Israeli society, with special emphasis on support of civil society organizations that champion social causes and national values of the State of Israel.

Guiding Principles

• Support that can have a substantial and qualitative effect on the Foundation's fields of interest.
• Active involvement and guidance of supported programs to ensure a successful outcome, on a need-be basis.
• Collaborations with organizations of similar interests and promotion of cooperation among supported organizations. Principle is based on the Foundation's strong conviction that cooperation is a mandatory step in strengthening the sector itself and increasing the probability of success.

Fields of Interest in Coming Years

• Youth movements
• Programs that support young people, ages 18 to 30, in their integration into society as useful and contributing citizens
• Establishment of Israeli center for civil society

Eligible Organizations

Non-profit organizations and "companies for the benefit of society" that work in the Foundation's fields of interest, are lawfully registered, and have been in operation for at least one year.
