The science and technology behind clear aligner treatment has advanced significantly in the past 3-5 years. In order to continue improving this treatment modality, Align Technology is investing up to $200,000 USD internationally for university-based scientific research related to clear aligner therapy. Priority is given to projects whose objectives directly benefit the treatment of patients with clear aligners.
This program provides research funding for full- and part-time university faculty involved in orthodontic scientific research, but applicants may also be non-orthodontic scientists whose work would contribute to the improvement and understanding of clear aligner orthodontic therapy.
